Why Williams makes the most sense..

So as you all are aware,  the Draft is this evening. Its Christmas in June for us Cavs fans. But could it be the best Christmas ever? Or could we have major regrets? Each player in every draft is always a " risk" but let me explain why taking Derrick Williams at 1 helps the Cavs in this years draft.

Here is what we are hearing.

1. Irving
2. Williams
3. Kanter
4. V. Or some foreign player

The Cavs could use a young point guard no doubt. But my problem with that is.... who does he pass to?

If we take Irving at 1 the other picks fall into place and we are left holding the hot potato at 4. BUT if we take Williams at 1 it will force Minn, to either take ANOTHER POINT GUARD, Or trade the pick. If they trade the pick, that team will most likely take Irving.  Then Utah takes Kanter. At 4 the Cavs now have multiple options. They can take Knight,  Walker, V.  Or trade down to get a later pick.. drafting D. Will forces the other teams hands and to me it makes the most sense.

Here is what I would like to see.

1. D.Williams
2. Irving.
3. Kanter
4  Knight,  Walker, multiple options

Cavs still get the young PG but get a better scorer at 4 overall.

What do you think?
